TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms govern access to Shadow Ascension and define the responsibilities accepted when using the Service.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using Shadow Ascension (the “Service”), operated by Golden Freedom LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them for you.

2. Description of the Service

Shadow Ascension is a gamified calisthenics and bodyweight-training app. It provides workout operations, exercise guidance, timers, progression tracking, XP, classifications, optional rankings, assessments, and related training features. The Service may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features over time.

3. Account responsibility

You are responsible for providing accurate account and fitness information and keeping your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Ascension Trials and self-reported performance operate on the honor system. You agree to record results truthfully.
You may not impersonate another person, create misleading identities, or transfer an account in a way that undermines safety or progression integrity.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Cheat, falsify results, manipulate ranking data, exploit bugs, bypass restrictions, or interfere with progression systems.
Probe, attack, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or another user’s account.
Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or manipulate the Service except as expressly authorized.
Upload or transmit malicious code, unlawful material, harassment, or content that violates another person’s rights.
Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, unsafe, or abusive purposes.

HEALTH & INJURY WARNING

5. Exercise at your own risk

Shadow Ascension provides general fitness information and is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or a substitute for professional care. Workout recommendations, rank standards, timers, age adjustments, difficulty feedback, and movement demonstrations cannot evaluate your individual medical condition or guarantee that an exercise is safe for you.

Physical exercise can cause fatigue, falls, strains, serious injury, worsening of an existing condition, or, in rare cases, death. You voluntarily assume the risks of exercising and remain responsible for choosing an appropriate environment, equipment, progression, intensity, and level of supervision.

Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, especially if you have an injury, medical condition, are pregnant, have been inactive, or have concerns about your health. Stop immediately and seek appropriate medical attention if you experience chest pain, faintness, severe shortness of breath, sharp pain, loss of control, or other unusual symptoms. In an emergency, contact local emergency services. Do not rely on the Service for emergency assistance.

6. Training outputs and results

Personalized quests and assessments are generated from the information and feedback available to the Service. They are estimates, not guarantees of fitness, health, safety, performance, rank advancement, or a particular result. You should reduce, modify, skip, or stop any movement that is inappropriate for your present ability or environment.

7. Intellectual property

The Service—including its software, interface, visual system, original text, training structures, graphics, badges, sounds, and branding—is owned by Shadow Ascension or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for lawful personal fitness purposes. No other rights are granted.

You retain rights in information you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, including displaying authorized ranking information.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Supabase, Google, Firebase, Google Play, Stripe, and Cloudflare. Your use of third-party authentication, billing, notification, or infrastructure services may also be subject to those providers’ terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

9. Premium subscriptions

Premium is optional and free core functionality remains available without it. Subscription prices, billing frequency, any trial duration, and the post-trial price are shown before purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Android subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play; website subscriptions are purchased through Stripe and managed through the billing portal available in Profile. Canceling stops future renewal and does not itself create a refund. Refund eligibility is controlled by the applicable payment provider and law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, creates risk for users or the Service, abuses ranking or progression systems, or when required by law. We may preserve or delete information as described in our Privacy Policy and as permitted by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. You can permanently delete your account through Settings or the public account-deletion page. Account deletion is irreversible and permanently removes the user profile and training record; they cannot be recovered.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, suitable for every user, or that defects will always be corrected.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shadow Ascension and its owners, operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or personal injury arising from or related to use of—or inability to use—the Service. Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or applicable requirements. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
